Wildway Crew Stories: Cynthia Herring (Wandering)

Our Wildway Crew highlights ordinary people doing extraordinary things.

Within each of us lies the potential to live life to the fullest. We have the ability to choose our own destiny, live without fear or limits, challenge ourselves and grow, do and be whatever makes us happy. We have the ability to be free. It's how you live a Wildway of life and there are people all around us inspiring others with their actions. We want to celebrate that by highlighting and honoring those who  #LiveWild.

Meet this week's featured Wildway Crew member:

Cynthia Herring

Los Angeles, California
Cynthia's Wildway of Life = Wandering

Cynthia's Outlook = "To live is the rarest thing in the world. Most people exist; that is all."

Meet Cynthia.  She's that girl who quit her job to travel, that girl we all yearn to be.  While most people only dream of getting that chance in life, Cynthia's living it.  She is the most driven, free-spirited soul I have ever met.  She's the type that will purposely get lost in a place she's never been before just to explore, learn, and grow as a person.  That takes bravery. And we can all take lessons from her on getting out of our comfort zone a little more.

Here is Cynthia's story in her own words:

"There are more things to be explored in the world than I feel time.  That, in itself, is a motivator.  I'm passionate about serving a purpose in the world while exploring it and delving into its raw core.  I feel the most alive when I'm on top of a mountain or wandering amongst nature in a forest.  I live to wander and explore and grow and learn.  Although I couldn't live without any of those things, I have come to find exponential benefit in wandering.  I've wandered through cities and towns and countries and hope to never stop.

Growing up, my family traveled a good amount.  This instilled in me the love for exploring and learning about new places.  After I graduated college, I backpacked through Europe and was fortunate enough to be able to gain a new perspective on the world.  Although I always knew there was much to be discovered, I was able to find beauty in the simplicity and the organic nature of things, which is something I have tried to implement in my life and travels since.

I am inspired by possibilities.  There are so many things to be explored, discovered, learned, and enjoyed in life, and the possibility of being able to do even just one of those things every day drives me to keep going."

Live wild. Wander wild.
